When I was ten years old,  I saw the movie Gettysburg for the first time. Not only did it spark a passion for history; it also showed me the power that films can have, to transport us to the events of the past, to learn from, and grow. When I got into filmmaking, I knew that I would want to tell stories based on actual events from American and world history. Having worked on several short film projects, I'm now moving forward with this production, a feature-length drama based on true events from the American Civil War.

The Fountain by the River is not only an inspirational story about faith, but also a lesson on the importance of unity. As we see our nation divided over every issue imaginable, my hope and prayer is that those who see the film will be reminded that, despite our differences, there are things that unite us, both as a country, and as a people.
